The Easter long weekend provided the Dalat community with a meaningful pause. Offering time to rest, reconnect, and reflect on the deeper purpose of the season. As spring unfolded on campus, students, families, and staff embraced the opportunity to slow down and participate in both personal and spiritual renewal.
One of the most memorable events of the weekend was a beachside baptism ceremony held by the school. Several students chose to publicly declare their faith through baptism, surrounded by the support of friends, family, and staff. The event included worship music, testimonies, and a quiet sense of reverence as the waves became part of the celebration. It was a powerful reminder of growth, transformation, and hope.
Jing Xuan Leow (12) was one of the students who got baptised, and she commented on her experience: “I was nervous and excited at the thought of getting baptised, but at the same time, I get to publicly declare my faith in God and be renewed. What better day to get baptised than on Easter Sunday!”
In the spirit of giving and celebration, the senior class also organised a special Easter festival for the elementary students. The event featured fun games, colourful decorations, and spring-themed activities designed to bring joy to the younger students. From egg-and-spoon races to ring toss and treats, the festival offered a space where the Dalat community came together across grade levels. The seniors took on leadership roles, guiding games and interacting with the elementary kids, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved.
Beyond the organised events, families across the community celebrated Easter in their own meaningful ways. Some attended church services on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, while others enjoyed quiet moments with loved ones over shared meals and time outdoors. The warm, breezy weather was ideal for hikes, picnics, and moments of stillness in nature.
Easter also brought with it small but significant traditions. Younger siblings of Dalat students participated in egg hunts, while others marked the season with time for journaling, prayer, or reflection. Whether through spiritual practices or simple joy, the weekend became a valuable pause in the school calendar.
As school resumed on Monday, there was a renewed energy across campus. The Easter weekend served not only as a break from academic responsibilities but as a reminder of what lies at the heart of the Dalat community—-faith, togetherness, and growth. Whether through peaceful moments by the sea, community worship, or time with loved ones, the Easter weekend left a lasting impact. It served as a reminder of the importance of faith, community, and taking time to pause in the midst of a busy season.
