What did teachers expect the most during Thanksgiving week? On November 21, all the staff members and teachers at Dalat enjoyed an exciting Thanksgiving meal made by parents!
Thanksgiving week is a particular time in Dalat every year. As Anju Takikawa said, “I enjoy Thanksgiving weekend a lot as I can have a relaxing time to spend with my family.”
According to Dalat tradition, there will always be a few days off in the Thanksgiving week. During the Thanksgiving week holiday, people can spend time with their families and think about what they can be thankful for in the year. There are many things that people are grateful for in Dalat: the beautiful campus near the ocean, the friendly environments between students, and the teachers and staff members… There are so many things that people can be grateful for.
Thanksgiving means being grateful for the graces people have throughout the year. But don’t forget that food is essential to the Thanksgiving tradition. There are many delicious dishes people can enjoy during the Thanksgiving meal. For example, turkey is an indispensable part of the Thanksgiving meal, representing gratitude since the beginning of Thanksgiving, when Americans celebrated the harvest with the Native Americans. But now, Thanksgiving has become a widespread culture among people from different countries. People eat delicious food together and talk about the lovely things that happened in the year.
On November 21, the Thursday before Thanksgiving week, it was the first that all the teachers and staff members got to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal together made by parents. Teachers and staff members in Dalat always work together to support students in all areas in which they are available. It’s an excellent way to show gratitude and love through carefully crafted cuisines.
